Painting is one of Kylie’s favorite things to do. I was once the mom that never brought the paints out to play with inside the house. Watching her sling the colors all over the place, painting her clothes, body, and anything within 5 feet in the process always gave me a bit of a panic attack. About a year ago, I realized how silly that was! The paints are “washable” – the majority of the time, they wipe right off. Now that I’ve faced my fears, we try to have some messy art time often. I watch her scribble in circles and tell me “look mommy I painted an elephant” as she grins from ear to ear. Her new favorite skill is to paint her hands and make colorful handprints all over the paper (most of the time). Regardless, the look on her face each time is priceless. She is a proud artist!
