Day 29 – A Picture A Day While My Soldier’s Away

We ventured over to the Independence Day celebration in Clarksville tonight. The place was jam packed with people and a small concert going on, but it was a lot of fun to just hang out on a blanket together. The kids were dancing and laughing with their little glow sticks, waiting for the main event. I was so impressed with the fireworks show! Music played along with the fireworks, making it one of the most moving celebrations I’ve been to. The songs were all patriotic of some sort and matched the blasts of color and light in the sky. When Lee Greenwood’s song came on, “God Bless The USA”, I just couldn’t hold it in anymore. The tears started rolling, and the empty spot in my heart was throbbing. I sure do miss you!
