The Army claims another friend.

I have grown to love a dear friend Jamie here in Clarksville.  She has taught me so much about the business end of photography (I suck at numbers), reading the true character of people, standing up for what my work is worth to me, forgiveness, and my place as a daughter of Christ.  I can’t express enough how grateful I am for her friendship these past few months especially.

True to Army reputation, just as our children were really bonding it was time for her family to relocate and continue their Army life elsewhere.  I’m heartbroken to say the least.  As much as I want to curse the Army life for yet another friend moving away, I know I would have never been blessed by her friendship if it weren’t for this military life we’ve chosen.

I wish her family the best of the best times ahead on their new adventure, and I pray that our paths will cross again soon (when I come visit, although she may not know that yet).

Here are some fun pictures I captured of our kids one day.  I find it ironic that being photographers, we managed to escape getting a picture of us together that day.  I’m pretty sure she planned that though…

See you guys soon!

  1. First of all…thank you to both of your families for choosing a military life! 🙂 Without families like yours our country…and our lives…would not be what they are. 🙂
Secondly…these are precious! 🙂 love the raw emotions you were able to capture! 🙂
